Oman Housing Bank Achieves Milestone of 3,000 Housing Loans in One Year

Oman Housing Bank is proud to announce a significant achievement in its commitment to enhancing the housing sector and facilitating homeownership for citizens. By the close of 2024, the bank has successfully disbursed housing loans exceeding 145 million, benefiting a total of 3,250 citizens across various governorates of the Sultanate.

A review of the financial data indicates that the main branch led in financing activity, offering loans totaling 38.3 million to 837 customers. Al-Rustaq branch followed closely, providing 34.58 million to 813 beneficiaries, while Nizwa branch extended 19.38 million to 423 individuals. This strategic distribution underscores the bank’s dedication to addressing housing needs in diverse regions.

Moosa bin Masoud Al-Jadidi, CEO of Oman Housing Bank, emphasized that these financing efforts align with the bank’s strategic objective of promoting housing stability for Omani citizens. The bank offers affordable loans with competitive terms tailored to various demographic segments. This initiative is in support of Oman Vision 2040, particularly in the areas of housing and social development. The loans provided cover a spectrum of needs, including home purchases, land acquisition for construction, and building houses, thus enabling beneficiaries to realize their housing aspirations.

Al-Jadidi further highlighted Oman Housing Bank’s unwavering commitment to delivering innovative financing solutions that bolster urban development and enhance the quality of life for citizens, consistent with national objectives aimed at creating a sustainable and integrated housing environment.

He stated, “In the face of economic transformations and rapid advancements in the banking sector, Oman Housing Bank is proactively updating its services and product offerings to improve customer experience and provide innovative housing solutions. We are entering a new phase of growth and expansion, with plans to enhance our digital infrastructure and introduce integrated electronic services that will allow customers to manage their loans and accounts securely and efficiently. Additionally, we have significantly reduced processing times by restructuring internal approval mechanisms and expanding specialized teams, resulting in a reduction of waiting periods from four years to just eight months.”
