Oman Housing Bank Inaugurates Its Revamped Dhofar Branch, Ending Waiting Lists

Moosa bin Masoud Al-Jadidi, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Housing Bank, announced that since the establishment of its Dhofar branch, the bank has provided housing finance exceeding 151 million, with more than 7,620 housing loans granted across the governorate’s various wilayats. This announcement came during the inauguration ceremony of the Bank’s newly renovated Dhofar branch, held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, and attended by several dignitaries, officials, and local community leaders.

The CEO noted that housing loans in Dhofar Governorate increased by 4% over the past year, compared to the previous year. In 2024 alone, the Bank approved 112 housing loans with a total value exceeding 5 million—affirming the Bank’s vital developmental role.

The branch’s redevelopment forms part of a comprehensive plan to upgrade the infrastructure of all Bank branches, creating an advanced work environment that enables faster and more efficient service delivery. The revamped branch now features modern facilities and amenities, high-quality advisory and banking services, and advanced digital systems that enhance both speed and accuracy in operations.

As a new milestone in its journey, Oman Housing Bank announced the completion of all pending housing loan applications in its Dhofar branch, effectively eliminating the waiting lists for citizens who had applied for housing finance. This achievement represents a significant step that reaffirms the Bank’s commitment to accelerating processes and providing practical solutions to ensure that housing finance reaches eligible beneficiaries promptly, positively contributing to family stability and supporting aspirations of owning suitable homes. This success reflects the Bank’s dedication to effectively addressing citizens’ needs and its continued pursuit of tangible achievements that contribute to social and economic development across the Sultanate’s governorates.

In addition, Oman Housing Bank announced the launch of its new website—an integrated digital platform designed to give citizens access to a wide range of services and information without the need to visit a branch. The site provides detailed information about various housing loan products, application processes, and eligibility criteria, along with a monthly installment calculator, a digital library of documents and forms, and an up-to-date news and announcements center. Clients can also request remote consultations, saving both time and effort.

This development aims to enhance the quality of services at the Oman Housing Bank branch in Dhofar Governorate by expanding reception areas, upgrading internal facilities, and providing a comfortable environment for customers, in addition to increasing the number of service counters and allocating spaces for direct consultations, thereby contributing to smoother procedures and faster completion of transactions. These initiatives are fully aligned with the Bank’s digital transformation strategy and its vision to offer modern, efficient housing services that support the objectives of Oman Vision 2040—empowering citizens to own suitable homes and enhancing their quality of life.
