In recognition of its comprehensive institutional journey toward digital transformation and the development of banking services, Oman Housing Bank was awarded the Digital Excellence Award in the Government Sector for 2025 for its “Iskan” Program as the best institution in digital development. Additionally, the Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Moosa bin Masoud Al-Jadidi, was honored with the Best Leadership in Digital Transformation and Organizational Change within the Institution.”. The awards were presented during a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Saeed bin Mohammed Al-Saqri, Economic Advisor at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs.

This recognition reaffirms the pioneering role played by Oman Housing Bank in developing the supported housing finance system and accelerating digital transformation in government services, enhancing service delivery efficiency for citizens, and aligning with Oman Vision 2040 objectives to build an integrated digital government.

Since its launch, the Iskan Program has brought a qualitative shift in accelerating supported housing finance for citizens registered on the waiting lists of Oman Housing Bank and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning. This has been achieved through strategic partnerships with various local conventional and Islamic banks in the Sultanate.

Cooperation agreements have been signed with several local financial institutions, through which applications are transferred from waiting lists to partner banks for processing under an integrated financing framework. This initiative has contributed to reducing waiting periods from years to only a few months, marking an unprecedented transformation in the national housing finance system.

The Chief Executive Officer of Oman Housing Bank, Moosa bin Masoud Al-Jadidi, stated that 6,634 Omani families have benefited from financing provided through the Iskan Program since its launch in January 2024 until the end of December 2025, with a total value of approximately 315 million. This reflects the direct impact of the program in enabling citizens to achieve housing stability and enhancing social and economic development.

He added that receiving these two awards represents a culmination of the Bank’s long-standing journey in meeting citizens’ needs and enhancing quality of life, and reflects the integrated institutional efforts made by the Bank to develop the housing finance system and accelerate digital transformation in banking services. He emphasized that the Iskan Program was designed as an advanced platform to enable citizens to obtain housing finance efficiently and swiftly, in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership and the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

Al-Jadidi further noted that Oman Housing Bank has witnessed a fundamental transformation in automating banking systems and operational processes, with the launch of the new core banking system, the development of digital platforms, and integration with various banking entities. These initiatives have simplified procedures, accelerated financing approvals, and significantly improved customer experience.

He also praised the strong support provided by the Ministry of Finance for the housing sector, which has contributed to the sustainability of the financing system and achieved a balance between social and financial dimensions, ensuring the continued empowerment of citizens to own homes.

Al-Jadidi highlighted that the Bank’s digital transformation direction aligns with Oman Vision 2040 objectives, affirming that housing represents a key pillar of quality of life and sustainable development. He stressed that the Bank’s approach is aligned with building an advanced digital government, enhancing institutional innovation, and achieving balanced urban development.

“We believe that housing finance is not merely a banking service, but an investment in people, a reinforcement of social and economic stability, and a key driver of national development,” he said, noting that the Bank will continue to develop digital financing solutions and expand partnerships with government entities and the private sector to ensure rapid access to finance and achieve housing prosperity.

Oman Housing Bank’s receipt of these awards comes amid the implementation of a comprehensive institutional and digital transformation program, which includes restructuring technical infrastructure, developing branches according to modern standards, enhancing digital channels, automating operational processes, and improving data quality and institutional governance.

This recognition marks an important milestone in Oman Housing Bank’s journey to reinforce its role as a leading national development institution that combines banking efficiency with a social dimension and keeps pace with global digital transformations. With continued demand for housing finance and population growth, Oman Housing Bank reaffirms its commitment to innovation, developing financing products, accelerating procedures, and strengthening partnerships to enable the largest possible number of citizens to own homes and achieve family and social stability.
